Commonwealth Bank launches Kaching for Facebook

In the news today, it was announced that Commonwealth Bank is launching an app to allow you to do your banking within Facebook.

I haven’t seen the app myself but, on the face of it, my advice is No. N. O. Don’t do it.*

Facebook is a regular target of phishing and rogue apps. It’s often associated with data harvesting and a dubious stance of person privacy. Letting them anywhere near your financial information is a recipe for disaster.
